A look at posters we did in 2012. See them at your own pace at team-eight.com/tag/poster

There are not exactly eight of us.
Eight simply implies the many; the many things we do, the many talented people we work with, the many ways we combine our group’s many skills for new approaches to our work, and the increasingly many projects we can triumphantly look back on. Rest assured, the Eight means there is a lot going on.

Check out these posters we made for Band of Horses. They’ll be selling them at their show at the National in Richmond this Saturday.
We had a really nice First Friday opening at Books, Bikes, and Beyond last weekend. Here are a couple pictures. The show will be up until September 30th, so if you’re in the area, come check it out… maybe buy a poster…

We recently did this poster for Scott Kelly of Neurosis and Eugene Robinson of Oxbow. They were on their acoustic / spoken word tour and stopped in Richmond for a show at Strange Matter. Scott walked up, hit Eugene on the shoulder, and said, “Hey Eugene, it’s me beating you up.” We were really pleased they immediately picked up on everything we were referencing in this poster. Amazing sets followed. You can get your copy here.
We just finished up a poster for the Alcest show at Strange Matter. It’s basically made up of two pencil drawings overlaid in photoshop. First, we did a small drawing of a peacock feather. Second, we drew highlights and feather details on a sheet that overlaid the original drawing on our light table to make the second color layer. Thanks to our intern, Brian Foy, for helping with the type and the layout.
