Barry Bruner’s “The King” for our Black Alice print series (funding now on Kickstarter)
These are the preliminary rough-ins of the color over the final line work. We’re still investigating the final application of colors for screen print and working in just how the black light inks will be used. Check the process blog to see our progress.

Black Alice, live on Kickstarter

Our project is live on Kickstarter. Help us fund this black light screen printed collaborative art print series that explores the themes of transformation and altered states in the Alice books by Lewis Carroll.

Your help will allow us to screen print sixteen limited edition prints by eight different artists.

Black Dice conjure up strange sonic experiments that often build to sensory overload, so we wanted to do a poster that was as bizarre and fun as the music. Inspired by the collage style art the band has championed since its inception, this poster started out as an odd drawing and evolved into the 3 color, fluorescent black light poster you see now. If you’re in the DC area, come out to the show Thurs May 24th at U Street Music Hall and pick one up. If not, you can get one online here.

We just finished up a poster for the Alcest show at Strange Matter. It’s basically made up of two pencil drawings overlaid in photoshop. First, we did a small drawing of a peacock feather. Second, we drew highlights and feather details on a sheet that overlaid the original drawing on our light table to make the second color layer. Thanks to our intern, Brian Foy, for helping with the type and the layout.
